A Requiem, freely available, especially written to use as a
complete Pagan funeral service or ceremony

Suitable as either the complete spoken service at a burial,
crematorium or scattering, or as a complete
Pagan requiem within a ceremonial setting.

Over the years, I have had many requests from my readers and others for a Pagan or natural green funeral service, and I know how difficult it can be to find or write something suitable at a time of bereavement.

Therefore, this little Requiem is provided free for you to download, print and use, and it fits exactly on just one sheet of A4 paper, which should help.
The downloaded file opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing. If necessary, when the 'Print' box opens, set the 'Page Scaling' to 'None'.
You will find six spaces on the printed sheet ready for you to write in the name of the deceased.

The wording is specifically composed to be read either by one person, or for two voices; perhaps one female and one male dividing the reading between both as you find most appropriate. Be absolutely sure you both know which lines each will speak. Mark both copies to indicate.

It's very important to realise that the wording is meant to be heard, not read, by all others present.
The words present a sequence of imagery and spiritual meaning which will be much less effective if those listening are reading the words at the same time, so only provide a copy for the one or two people reading the Requiem, don't provide copies for anyone else at this point. This will ensure those listening will experience the spiritual solace and reassurance the sequence evokes, without distraction.
(For those attending it may be appropriate to have copies available as a rememberance, after this part of the funeral, at the wake, perhaps.)

In case you are unfamiliar with organising such events, it is absolutely essential to practice 'walk throughs', and read out the Requiem as you do so, even if this means just going through the sequence of events on your own, until you are sufficiently familiar. This will help create a smooth, dignified event for all involved, and during walk-throughs you should check exactly how long the whole service will take.
The Requiem takes up to five minutes to read out without rushing, but be aware it will take considerably longer in the emotional context of the actual event. Don't rush, just read at a natural, relaxed pace to help you read accurately without stumbling – it will be an emotional time, so concentrate on the words to keep your composure – this will make a more meaningful experience for all attending.

I do hope this provision makes your responsibilities a little easier. The illustrations with the Requiem text are the Moon and Sun symbolising the supernal whole, and below, the Celtic leaping salmon, symbolising the relationship between life and transcendent existence.

Freely available within these copyright conditions: Only print out copies for the one or two people speaking from it and for other participants afterwards if appropriate, and do not reproduce it, in whole or part,  for any commercial use whatsoever, of course. Magical sanctions also apply. - Julian Gower.

Grow your own Oak Grove!
A Leaflet - print out both sides, then fold in half.

How to collect & cultivate your acorns, prepare your site -
create a wonderful natural legacy for future generations.

This little leaflet explains how to create your Oak Grove - or just plant an oak or two - and describes the role of oak groves in the spiritual traditions of Celtic Britain.
Oak trees support over 400 species of insects, birds and mammals, and besides the enrichment of the environment, planting an oak grove continues a tradition native to Britain for more than two thousand years.

The downloaded file opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing.
It's for printing on both sides of an A4 sheet, then fold the finished leaflet down the middle.
In case you aren't sure how to do this, with the leaflet open in Adobe Acrobat click on the 'Print' icon, which opens the print dialogue window.
In 'Print Range' click on 'Current page'. (You should also be able to see a little picture of the first side, in landscape format.) Click on 'OK' to print out the first side.
Now open Side 2 in Adobe Acrobat, place the leaflet back in your printer positioned to print the reverse side, and follow the same steps to complete the second side. You'll probably need to click on 'Current page' again for the second side in the print dialogue window.

May great oaks from your little acorns grow!

Copyright conditions: You may print out this leaflet for yourself or friends, but only as a whole including its copyright and authorship details, and do not reproduce or use it, in whole or part, for any commercial use whatsoever, of course. Magical sanctions also apply. - Julian.

Interested in Moon Planting/Sowing?
A two-sided Leaflet

Handy information for readers of our Moon planting guide, and for the newly interested.

This provides the contents of a little leaflet I enclose with orders for 'Gwydion's Planting Guide' and its annual Year Sheets, and overleaf a copy of an enquiry and my reply, generally useful for all, and for those wanting to plant by the Moon outside the U.K. time zone.

The downloaded file opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing. You can just let it print out on two sheets (wasteful) or you can print both sides.
In case you aren't sure how to do this, with the leaflet open in Adobe Acrobat click on the 'Print' icon, which opens the print dialogue window.
In 'Print Range' click on 'Current page'. (You should also be able to see a little picture of the first side, in portrait format.) Click on 'OK' to print out the first side.
Now open Side 2 in Adobe Acrobat, place the leaflet back in your printer positioned to print the reverse side, and follow the same steps to complete the second side. You'll probably need to click on 'Current page' again for the second side in the print dialogue window.

Copyright conditions: You may print out this leaflet for yourself or friends, but only as a whole including its copyright and authorship details, and do not reproduce or use it, in whole or part, for any commercial use whatsoever, of course. Magical sanctions also apply. - Julian.

Key for the 'Find the Coven' game on Gwydion's Moon Calendar,
Midsummer 2016  to  Midsummer 2017 edition.

I trust you've tried to find the other 12 witches before using this downloadable key!

In decades past, before it was practical to give the printers' a digital version of each edition of the Moon Calendar, I used to take a carefully assembled 'paste-up' to them every half year.  Around the 3rd or 4th time with my current printer firm, I visited with my precious layout, all neatly pasted as usual. As I discussed the job, I noticed the rest of the printing staff crowding around the layout table, frowning in concentration.
Naturally concerned that the paste-up was in some way problematic for printing, I asked whether anything needed adjusting - to do so would mean going back home, repreparing, printing out the sections on A4 and making another paste-up with different greyscale settings or whatever needed correcting for a decent print run...
"No, we can only find eight witches! Oh, there's another one, look!"
After that, it became something of a bi-annual ritual, and one year I had to point out the last one, because the entire staff had spent most of their lunchtime and part of the afternoon looking for them all!

Anyway, you can print this out if you like, then if friends can't find them all you can show them this key!
To save paper you could just look at the key onscreen, of course.

The downloaded file opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing.
The file is only around 393 kilobytes so it should download in seconds, and give Adobe Acrobat a few seconds to display it properly before viewing or printing out.

I should tell you that, unlike the other downloads, this is a low resolution picture, and a small size, so you might wish to adjust your Adobe Acrobat print settings to centre it and adjust its printed size to make it appear quite small on your paper for printing, thus:
When you click on 'Print' in Adobe Acrobat Reader the print box opens, choose 'Actual Size', and for 'Orientation', choose 'Auto portrait/Landscape'.
That should mean it prints in landscape format, only taking up a central portion of an A4 sheet.

Key for the 'Find the Coven' game
on Gwydion's Moon Calendar,
2017 edition.

I trust you've tried to find the other 12 witches before using this downloadable key!

All the information for viewing and/or printing for other downloads applies to this too, and I hope you enjoy this edition of the Moon Calendar.

I'm trying to encourage my regular - and new - Moon Calendar buyers to try Gwydion's Moon Diary sometime. The Moon Diary now includes several mini-essays through the monthly pages as well as other readings, which together are intended to provide all readers with a good, accurate introduction to Pagan spirituality.
Have a look at the Diary in the Online Shop (Link - top of this page) and on its page, the five pictures expand fully so you can read the various articles and items from several pages, the 'Wheel of the Year' chart, contents details and so on.
I can promise that once you've owned the current or any future edition of Gwydion's Moon Diary for a while, you'll find the information learned from its content will bring a new clarity to your understanding of Paganism and natural spirituality.
Do have a look at the selection of 'Words from the Path' essays from previous editions on the 'News' page of this site (Link - top of this page) which are intended to introduce readers to various topics of Pagan spirituality and supplement the readings in the Diary itself.

Gwydion's Moon Diary - the back cover -
You may wish to download this to read  more conveniently, either for reference and/or to print out, or to email to interested friends.

For regular readers, I hope you like the new back cover details which will feature in all future editons, and for newcomers, I trust this will prove useful and interesting reading.

The new design and readings on the back cover, besides providing an indication of the many articles, features and subject matter inside, should also be useful if you want to tell friends (and shops!) why you'd like them to see it.

The download prints at actual size, about 5.8 inches across by 8.25 inches high, so it's easily printed out centred on an A4 sheet of paper.

The downloaded file opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing.
The file is 2.96 megabytes so give it a few seconds to download, and give Adobe Acrobat a few seconds to display it properly before viewing or printing out.
If necessary, when printing, set the 'Page Scaling' to 'None'.
